The workshop includes an overview of, and will discuss different possibilities for proposals at DFG, an overview on the activities within the SPP2080, presentations of ECR’s currently active within the SPP2080. Presenters are: DFG-representative (Dr. Simon Jörres), Coordinator of the SPP2080 (Prof. Dr. Jan-Dierk Grunwaldt), experienced scientists from the DFG-panels Chemistry (Prof. Dr. Angelika Brückner) and Chemical Technology (Prof. Dr. Roger Gläser), and young scientists participating in SPP2080 (Dr. Ralph Krähnert, Prof. Dr. Mirijam Zobel). Registration by January 20, 2021 to grunwaldt∂spp2080.org.

Application open for 10.000 € Early Career Research Scholarship for Female Scientists. Deadline: February 1, 2021. You should work in the field of catalysis for energy storage and conversion and contribute scientifically to DFG Priority Programme SPP 2080 during 2021. Link.

17.02 - 18.02.2020 More than 75 participants at the SPP2080 status meeting in Leipzig. Unique possibility to exchange the newest results. Apart from the highlights in the consortia the talks by the two plenery speaker were particularly attractive: Prof. Karen Chang from Technical University of Denmark covered a different side of the CO2 topic, namely “Theoretical Investigations of Electrochemical CO2 reduction”, Prof. Atsushi Urakawa from Delft University of Technology on the topic “Playing with kinetics and thermodynamics for CO2 conversion”.  A big thanks to the Leipzig team around Prof. Roger Gläser for the organization of teh meeting! More information can be found here.

18.02 - 20.02.2020 After the status meeting the second PhD and postdoc of the SPP2080 took place. Fokus: Modelling and simulation and scientific writing (guest: Greta Heydenrych from Wiley-VCH). More information can be found here.
