The research group of Dr. Schröder "Real-world electrocatalysts and insights into nanoscale dynamics" focuses on:

  • Material synthesis of energy production and conversion catalysts
  • Electrocatalytic testing of electrocatalysts of several electrochemical production and conversion reactions, in particular for water electrolyzer
  • Material characterization of electrocatalyst under operation with a focus on various in-situ and operando synchrotron techniques
  • Design optimization of electrochemical testing cells, e.g., for water electrolyzer systems
