Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Black Forest, the entire working group discussed the fundamentals of key methods and theories for water treatment using polymers; a secondary focus was on the history of religion and its impact on current politics. In the evenings, several alumni and industry representatives shared their experiences following the completion of their doctorates.
To lighten the mood, there was also a hike in the immediate vicinity (the Frauenalb monastery ruins) with beautiful views and some fairly challenging climbs; the evenings were a gentle way to wind down in the on-site bar, complete with pool and table football.
